Coastal Construction Management - Stonington Custom Build

Coastal Construction Management LLC

Stonington, Lamb's Way

This marvelous 4,200 sq ft home is the first built by Coastal Construction Management, LLC. It is a combination of post-and-beam and conventional construction styles. Upon entering through the grand front entrance, supported by stately 16” diameter natural Cypress posts from the swamps of Virginia, the 3’6” fir front entry door opens into the very large Great Room, which boasts massive exposed interior fir beams and roof trusses, each weighing more than 450 pounds. The two-story fieldstone wood-burning fireplace is flanked on either side by Pozzi windows on both levels to maximize the magnificent water views. French patio doors from the Great Room open onto a 1,300 square foot deck constructed of Mataverde decking and railings. The roomy custom kitchen has cherry cabinets, granite countertops, and commercial appliances. The home features a first-floor master bedroom with walk-in closet with custom cabinetry. The two first-floor children’s bedrooms were designed with back-to-back windows mounted in the shared partition wall to allow communication between the rooms (of course, both girls must wish to communicate by opening their own window!). These bedrooms feature custom window seating and California closets. The children may not yet appreciate the lovely views from their bedroom windows, but simply adore the charming feminine chandeliers hanging in each room.  The 2nd floor home office/bedroom attaches to the guest room by a double hotel-style privacy door. The two wings of the home are connected on the second floor with a post & beam bridge, which overlooks the Great Room. Glass block windows and a Dutch-style door create a unique playroom for the owners’ two young daughters. The home also features a three-bay heated garage, nanny quarters and exercise room.
